Points to Ponder
How many go forth
in the morning who
never return at night.
And hearts that have broken
for harsh words spoken that
sorrow can never set right.
We have careful words
for the stranger and
for the sometime guest.
But we vex our own
with word and tone though
we love our own the best.

If you have lost joy and the
ability to love and
be loved,
death is only the period
after a long sentence.

PRAYER OF LIGHT
The clouds obscuring from man's sight his own reality Will lift as Love, the inner Light confirms identity.
On earth the swelling tide shall rise of might, firm-fixed in force;
But ever from dawn's clearing skies,
angelic hands still guide man's course.
Man shall remember and return
To Sun of Being --- Source.
O, Christ of me, gird up thy loins and meet the bitter fray.
Let me not desert the field till Light has won the day.
Keep faithful still my gentle heart.
Let strong my courage be. Tho I may blunder, doubt and fall,
lift high thy lamp for me to see.
Hold fast my hand.
Thy grace impart.
Till Love shall conquer all -- in me.

THE CAT’S MEOW
A litle humor anyone owned by a cat will appreciate.
I’ve heard it said that to have a cat
Is to be owned by one; it amounts to that.
Meals per schedule, nap undisturbed.
The trouble he is leaves him quite unperturbed.
Get seated all comfy, take off your shoes.
You can bet that’s the moment
His highness will choose
To wish to depart; go out on the town.
So don’t get settled. You won’t stay down!
Enter the bedroom, he’s there on your bed.
Enter the kitchen, he’s there to be fed.
Aim for your favorite easy chair,
And ten to one you’ll find him there.
He roams all night and sleeps all day.
He’ll only look bored if you want him to play.
The look he can cast will be full of disdain;
How dare a mere mortal question his reign!
Then just when you’re ready to give him away,
Up in your lap he’ll hop, and he’ll lay
All cozy and warm, then start to purr.
Your hand will fall gently to stroke his soft fur.
His timing is perfect, his knowledge complete.
Try as you may, he’ll never be beat.
Yes, cats are a strange and a humorous lot.
They’ve sure got something that we ain’t got!
